Itinerary (May be subject to slight tweaks!)

Day 1: Hove day (Monday 14th)

9.15 Meet at Hove Museum in the cafe for coffee, welcome and to collect a course pack.

The day will include:

·       A letterpress workshop by Inkspot 

·       Jonathan Wright talk and workshop linked to his sculptural piece ‘Constellation’  which is a new piece of public art in the grounds of Hove Museum.

·       On the sea front - 50 Steps photography/ drawing and collecting activities on walk via the Hove Plinth (Hove Civic Society) and current sculpture: Flight of the Langoustine by Pierre Diamantopoulo.

·       Chance to look around the museum collection

·       Use of the education space to make independent work.

7-9pm Venue with the option of continuing to make work with the option of food and drinks.

Day 2: Brighton day (Tue 15th)

9.30am- 10am Meet in Brighton Pavilion Gardens

10am Tailored tour of Pavilion (1 hour):

11am Colour and Pattern Talk with Alexandra Loske (1 hour)  Tate Colour: A Visual History | Books | Tate Shop | Tate

12- 2pm Lunch- Time to explore pavilion, grounds and have lunch

2pm-4pm Brighton Museum- Sam Hobbs ‘Power to the People’ workshop looking at objects in collection and local stories as inspiration.

4-5pm Time to explore the museum and to make work in the education space.

Tuesday Evening  

7-9pm Life Drawing at Draw Studio, New England House.

Day 3: Art Pedagogy/Photo Pedagogy

9.30 Meet at Brighton Museum

9.30-11.00 Chance to make own work in the education space.

11.00-3.30  Workshop led by Chris Francis (Art Pedagogy and Photo Pedagogy ARTPEDAGOGY - THRESHOLD CONCEPTS
